It has been a decent few weeks on the Humptulips river even with the lower than normal amount of both Chinook and Coho. We have been fishing different sections of river just about every day to find new fresh fish or to follow a batch up river. While the King numbers have been down compared to previous years the fish are very good quality and most days we are finding Sea Lice on our fish which means they are fresh from the bay.

 Look for a few Coho to continue to come in as we get into December although the Kings will be gone soon the Winter Steelhead will slowly take their place. Never a ton of Steelhead here but it keeps things interesting and you never know what your going to catch.

Cowlitz has a few Steelhead in it as well as Coho but don't expect lights out fishing.
Satsop has a few Coho in it and a ton of Chum which must be released.
Chehalis between the mouth of the Satsop and Nooch has been fair for hatchery Coho if your willing to put in the time.

Winter Steelhead will be going full bore after Thanksgiving and if the amount of early Steelhead in the rivers is any indication of whats to come...Watch out it's going to be a great Steelhead season.

For those looking to fish Steelhead in the next few weeks I will begin chasing them after the 1st of December and will again start guiding full time after the first of the new year. We've had a tough few months but I think I can resume fishing on a daily basis again for at least the Winter Steel season.
